The spectrum of the outside solar radiation can be significantly modified by the optical properties of a cover film. These changes in the radiation transmission can result in significant modification of plant architecture, shape and consequent commercial value. Photosynthesis strongly depends on the total amount of light that plants receive in photosynthetic active radiation (PAR: 400-700 nm) with major contributions from blue and red light. Dinolight® RL 1000 converts part of the absorbed UV-light into red light (maximum emission at 635 nm) and can be thought of as a luminescent solar concentrator that increases the amount of light useful for the photosynthetic process(外界太阳光的光谱可以被用覆盖薄膜的可选方式进行有效地改变,这种发光输送方式的改变可以导致植物内部结构,形状和商业价值的有效改变,光合作用强烈地依靠植物所能接受到的光照的总量,特别是那些对发生光合作用有积极效果的光谱辐射(PAR: 400-700 nm),主要是蓝色到红色光辐射. The Red/FarRed (R/FR) ratio of the incident light on the plants [R= photon fluence rate in 10 nm band centered at 660nm; FR= photon fluence rate in 10 nm band centered at 730nm] can influence their physiological processes via photoreceptors. This ratio is significantly higher under a polyethylene film containing Dinolight® RL 1000. Agronomic results with greenhouse films containing Dinolight®(使用含有Dinolight® 温室薄膜的农业效果  

 

The positive effect on plant growth was confirmed by field trials in major cut flower markets in South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Yields, growing cycle and quality (like stem length and thickness) were generally improved for cut flowers. The best results were obtained on roses as well as carnations and anthurium. Production data of red roses (yield/m2) under a Dinolight® RL 1000 greenhouse film were collected weekly and showed a cumulated higher yield of
